Even with the versatile product offerings we have, oftentimes a specialized lighting or part fixture approach is required to make an application successful. Visicon engineers have a breadth of experience in making fully automated inspection systems work robustly and accurately for a wide variety of applications.

The Laser Die Inspection System is a precision, video comparator. This system is equipped with two Navitar Zoom 6000 lens systems, each equipped with individually controlled on-axis lighting and a CCD camera. The cameras are connected to a video comparator system. The two video signals are then split or overlaid and displayed on the single Sony monitor. Wafers are held by a paddle, which is easily centered on the stage by convenient guides. The stage travels in both the X and Y-axis with course and fine adjustment capabilities.

The system is designed so that by placing a wafer on the stage, and looking at the monitor, it will be immediately clear to the operator whether or not the laser markings on the underside of the wafer are aligned with the contents of the topside of the wafer.
