The Traditional Approach
The scanning and large format imaging systems that Visicon specializes in offer some really great advantages for most flat or cylindrical parts, there are some inspection applications that are still best served by the traditional CNC Video system. For example, highly prismatic parts that have only a few dozen measurement points often at widely different part heights tend to work well on a traditional CNC Video system.
Catering to the High End
The FineView systems are built on the same high precision granite based stage components as our scanning systems. Scanning systems require the ultimate in precision motion control. Any vibration, jitter, backlash, or any other mechanical flaw is instantly seen as a flaw in the scanned image. So using these precision-scanning stages insures really serious mechanical accuracy in our FineView Systems.
Serious Flexibility
While our FineView systems represent the ultimate in a high precision CNC Video system, our roots in scanning make the coupling of a laser to the FineView systems truly versatile. After locating part features with the video camera the system can then direct a laser sensor to scan those features and extract the three dimensional X-Y-Z data that represents those features. Our advanced software can then apply geometrical constructs to this data and tolerance dimensions between these constructs and points taken by the video camera.
Ultimate Stage Accuracies
Linear drive motors. Laser interferometer scales.
Serious Construction
Granite structures and steel stage components offer strength and precision for the long haul. Attention to detail at every level results in quality you can count on.
